What does a home inspection consist of?
A home inspection is a visual inspection of all system components and physical structures within a home, from the roofing to the foundation. We use special technologies to examine every portion of your home and report any defects, regardless of severity. We offer easy-to-understand categorizations of defects in your report by labeling portions as minor, major, or severe defects with additional explanations, photos, and videos provided.
What is Radon Testing? Do I need it?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that may be concentrated in homes built on soil with natural uranium deposits. Radon tests are not required in residential home inspections, but we are working quickly to offer supplemental Radon testing with your home inspection within the next few months following additional required certifications at the State level. If you choose to work with Herd Home Inspections prior to Radon testing being offered, we are happy to refer you a nearby Radon tester as well.
